I love taking the time to play around with makeup I don’t usually get to wear to work on the day-to-day. At the end of 2019, I did a big declutter of my makeup collection and recently reorganized the setup to focus on using the products I already own. I moved all my makeup into the my Ikea Alex Drawers with minimal options set out on my vanity area. This forces me to open the drawers and look at everything I own when it’s time to get ready. For…

2019 beauty & skincare favorites
* This post contains affiliate links. 2019 was the year I started getting back into makeup, beauty and truly taking care of my skin. Makeup was my first hobby that I delved into and consider myself to be pretty good at it. So this year I have a good round up of beauty and skincare favorites to share! Over the course of the year, I tried a lot of new products trying to find products that I truly love and perform well. Many of these favorites were also used on my wedding day, so you know they are reliable. In addition to trying new products, I’ve been decluttering products from…

fall beauty favorites | 2019
I’m back! Summer was crazy busy with our wedding planning and all the activities that come along with a wedding. Now that all of that is wrapped up, I’m finally able to set aside some time for my blog and hopefully my Instagram which has also been neglected. I thought I’d get back on track with some of my favorites from over the summer and beginning of fall. A lot of these makeup products were used on my wedding day. Something else that I’m trying to be mindful of lately is purchasing cruelty-free makeup and beauty products. I’m not 100% CF yet, but I’m taking steps to get there. The…

spring beauty favorites | 2019
Over the past several months, I’ve been getting back into beauty and makeup. When I first started my blog, makeup was my main content. I used to do reviews, first impressions, empties, and more. Since I’m currently on the mend from surgery, I’ve had to find another hobby to focus on for a few weeks that didn’t involve dead lifts. A lot of these favorites you might recognize from my recent Mexico Packing List. Turns out, all my picks for our spring vacation were perfect for traveling and every day looks. All of these products help with perfecting my base which is essential to any makeup look. These picks are…

My Summer Beauty Essentials
Happy summer! The summer solstice was this past week on June 21 so what a better time to share some of my summer beauty essentials I’ve been loving. Makeup is one of my favorite hobbies and I would even say I have quite the collection. I’m no beauty guru or blogger, but it’s always fun for me to share new finds and favorites. It’s a little bittersweet to think about the solstice already passing us because from here on out, the days only get shorter. So if you haven’t made summer vacation plans yet or made it out to the cabin, be sure you add it your calendars ASAP. I…

Packing for Vancouver | Outfits and Activities
I’m headed out for Vancouver! Jake and I are once again off to some more traveling – this time in Canada. Vancouver randomly popped into our heads a while back as a place to visit because it has lot to offer – a big city, shopping, the ocean, mountains. We’re really into adventures and exploring when on vacation, as opposed to touristy stuff – though I love at least seeing the touristy stuff when visiting. We planned to take a longer trip than some of our previous trips, a full six days, so packing proved a bit more challenging this time. Outfits This vacation is the longest we’ve ever taken…
