It’s the start of a new year, a popular time to begin a fitness journey. New Year, New Me – am I right? I’ve been on my own personal fitness journey for over four years now. And along the way I’ve learned a lot about exercises and programming, nutrition, and myself as a person. It’s this knowledge that I want to share with others so that they too can find success in their own fitness journey. Fitness is more of a lifestyle now than it is a journey. I love being active and sharing my story with others. As you get started on your journey, it’s important to remember the…

My 2019 Goals
2018 is coming to an end, bringing in another new year. New Year’s is a popular time for people to set goals for themselves, re-evaluate their lives and sometimes change the direction they’re going. I’ve been setting goals for myself, and sharing them on blog, for several years now and this year is no exception (check out my 2018, 2017, and 2016 goals for some context). Compared to year past, my 2019 goals are looking different and I’m good with that. I like say I’m setting goals rather than New Year’s Resolutions. I do this because setting goals is something that I like to do throughout the entire year. For…

My 2018 Goals
Another year has come and gone, so here I am with my 2018 goals. I’ve been sharing my New Year’s resolutions for two years now, and while I may not have always reached those goals I enjoy the idea of having them public for the accountability. It’s also a nice way to have a journal-esque log of what I’ve wanted to do over the years and watch myself grow and change. 2017 has been an experience. I’ve gone through challenging times before, but this past year has come with the most changes, challenges, and growth. I won’t go too into my grievances as I’d much rather focus on the positives…

Fitness Update | Goals, Injury, Powerlifting
It’s been a while since I’ve shared a fitness update on my blog. I’ve been doing a lot of meal preps lately and trying out new recipes so that’s what I’ve been sharing. Back in February I made a post about my plan to get back on track with my fitness goals for the year. And I did. I went hard at the gym and stuck closely to my nutrition and starting seeing results. After a dieting phase in January, struggling to be consistent with my nutrition in February to maintain, I decided to do a reverse diet in March to increase my macros. I was so happy in March because I…

How I Journal
I recently started a new way of journaling and I’m here to share it with you! I’ve always enjoyed writing (hence the blog) but in recent years I’ve slacked on writing. I gave bullet journaling a try last fall after a friend said she loved it and that it’s perfect for those that enjoy lists. I’m absolutely a lover of making lists, but bullet journaling was too overwhelming for me. I wanted to be able to focus in on goals and to-do lists, but I also didn’t want to have to remember log items daily. goals The first part of my weekly log is to set goals. Writing down goals…
