    Our Vancouver Vacation

I’m back from vacation in Vancouver! We spent six days in the northwest city that hosted the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Traveling is amazing and I hope that everyone gets the opportunity to do it so they can see other cities, countries, and how other cultures operate. This is going to be a long, picture heavy blog post – thanks to our friend on the trip that had a camera on him the whole time and took some of these amazing pictures. Our trip started very early the Sunday we departed – 3:15am wake up call and the flight out was before 7am. We had a five hour layover in Seattle…

Packing for Vancouver | Outfits and Activities

I’m headed out for Vancouver! Jake and I are once again off to some more traveling – this time in Canada. Vancouver randomly popped into our heads a while back as a place to visit because it has lot to offer – a big city, shopping, the ocean, mountains. We’re really into adventures and exploring when on vacation, as opposed to touristy stuff – though I love at least seeing the touristy stuff when visiting. We planned to take a longer trip than some of our previous trips, a full six days, so packing proved a bit more challenging this time. Outfits  This vacation is the longest we’ve ever taken…

Duluth Adventures & Twin Ports Powerlifting Meet

Back in May I was going through a list of powerlifting meets and saw that one was in Duluth – about three hours from me. I got online and booked a hotel for the same weekend. I’m becoming more and more interested in powerlifting, and even considering doing a meet. Before diving into any serious training I wanted to see how a meet works and the process. Duluth is also a great city to travel to for a weekend. It has beautiful scenery, lots of stuff to do outdoors, history, and the city is great to explore.     My weekender bag Seeing as I was traveling alone and I…

Travel Makeup & What I’m Doing In LA

I’m leaving for Los Angeles tomorrow and I’m super excited! I’m going to visit a friend who has lived out there for a few years now. I already shared what I’m packing for outfits and what’s on my wish list of things to do while there – read about all that here. Today, it’s all about what’s in my travel makeup bag. When I travel, I pretty much stick to bringing favorites so I know I’ll be happy with the looks during my vacation. makeup bag I purchased a roll-up/hanging toiletry bag before our trip to Iceland so I could hang it the hotel and conserve space. It’s come in handy for multiple…

Los Angeles Outfits & Snacks for Travel

I’m already packing for my trip! Honestly, I started packing a while ago by getting together a list of items to bring. I wanted to share my outfits I’m bring to Los Angeles for my four day, three night stay. I’m visiting a friend in LA so I’m fortunate in that sense that I’m not stressing too much about forgetting anything. If I forget something, I’m sure I can borrow an item or we can easily pick something up at Target. To help me pack for trips I like to make a list of items I’ll bring. Sometimes I make my own list in Excel, but this time around I…

    Our Iceland Trip!

I’ve been home for one week now and I just want to go back. Vacation was way too short and vacation from work was definitely way too short.  After a couple of flights we made it our destination at the Keflavik International Airport which is the main way travelers visit Iceland.  The airport is about 45 minutes from Reykjavik which was where our hotel was.  Our trip home had a little bit more drama, but we survived and made it in one piece. Jake and I flew Air Canada to our connection in Toronto for a flight via Icelandair.  Icelandair was amazing, the  flight attendants were very friendly, the plane…
